Celebrating its grand opening today, Only YOU Hotel Atocha made its debut on the streets of Madrid as the brand’s second-ever property. A part of the Palladium Hotel Group, Only YOU focuses on creating an innovative soace in the urban sector while targeting an international, cosmopolitan audience.
Its initial property sits in Calle Barquillo nearby Paseo de Recoletos, and Atocha is now open on the Paseo Infanta Isabel opposite Puerta de Atocha railway station. Housed in a 19th century historical building, the hotel’s décor by interior designer Lázaro Rosa Violán, showcases a contemporary and industrial ambiance.
Atocha boasts 206 guestrooms, 14 of which are suites, and their exposed brick and Americana vibes create a New York-meets-Madrid aesthetic. Among its food and beverage options are three restaurants which offer a mix of Latin American, Asian and Spanish cuisines. Trotamundos by SPOONIK, helmed by chefs Jon Giraldo and Jaime Lieberman, serves a fusion of Asian and Caribbean dishes. At the Bakery, guests can enjoy traditional pastries and treats from master pastry chef Alejandro Montes.
Further amenities include a fitness center with a personal trainer, a Running Club, the Beauty Room Spa, and event and meeting space. Guests are also within walking distance of many of the city’s best attractions such as Retiro Park and nearby a plethora of restaurants, museums and sites including the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Prado Museum, Caixa Forum and Puerta de Alcalá. Rates begin at around USD $175 a night.
