The Largest Man-made Island on Earth Welcomes a Fairmont Hotel
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced a new addition to its properties in the Middle East with the opening of Fairmont The Palm. The luxurious resort is located in the heart of the iconic Palm Jumeirah, the world’s largest man-made island shaped in the form of a palm tree. Fairmont The Palm will feature 381 guestrooms and suites, including two presidential suites, 3,000 square meters of meeting space, outdoor leisure facilities with four swimming pools, a private beach club, Children's Activity Centre, as well as a variety of dining facilities featuring sea, garden or pool views, a Fairmont Gold product and a Willow Stream Spa.

Leading Hotel Operator to Transform Sofitel Hotel in Dubai
Accor has appointed Philippe Bittencourt, the general manager of Pullman Deira City Centre Dubai to transform a Sofitel property in UAE into a modern five-star resort. The new hotel will feature Wi-Fi, an executive lounge and an interactive kitchen amongst other luxury amenities and conveniences. Bittencourt will be rebranding the hotel, including a refurbishment of the 317-room property launched September 1. Accor owns the Pullman and Sofitel brands and plans to double its number of hotels by 2020.
